That's Not My Neighbor is an independent horror game in which you will have to be very attentive to the details to find out who is a real person or his Doppelganger (German word for the evil double of a person).

This horror game has gone viral for its multiple endings and disturbing visual effects, such as the use of trypophobia. In addition, in this review we show you how you can play the official demo version for free.

 

The action takes place in the year 1955 and for some reason the world is full of monstrous human-like beings, but they are not only more than doubles of living people and they are hungry.

You have been hired as an access guard to a building. You don't like the job but your financial situation is delicate and you have no choice but to accept.

What seems like a simple job is not going to be, because we already told you that your life will depend on your good observation of the neighbors who want to enter the building.

The instructions are very basic, but you should never forget them: check the registration forms, do not miss a detail of the description of each person and if you detect a double… press the red emergency button!

Is that all? yes, it's that simple, but it's not easy. Upon the arrival of a neighbor, you will have to open the drawer corresponding to the floor where he has his home and thoroughly check his personal, physical data and any details that may betray an impostor.

You also have a phone to call and make the appropriate identity checks, or chat with the person trying to provoke him to betray himself as a monster and not a normal person.

We forgot one detail: if you do not detect the impostor in time, if you do not manage to press the red button or simply allow the wrong character to enter, the Doppelganger will devour you! We repeat: any physical detail cannot be overlooked (he has a mustache, he usually wears a hat, etc.)

You will also have to dialogue with the neighbors and answer questions that can be very enigmatic, disturbing or directly absurd, but depending on the chosen answer this will be the outcome (fatal or not).

We think That's Not My Neighbor is a very funny horror game with a very particular aesthetic, in addition to a game mechanics that becomes addictive… Will you find out the fake neighbor?
